Vancouver Olympic Vice President wants to be an MP

The Vancouver Olympics chief,John Furlong,ignore to run for political office.But one of his lieutenants wants a seat in the House of Commons.

VANOC's vice-president of strategy and partnerships,Taleeb Noormohamed is looking the federal Liberal nomination in North Vancouver. The riding is held by Conservative Andrew Saxton, who defeated two-time Liberal incumbent Don Bell in 2008.

“If there’s one lesson we learned from the Games, it’s how you get communities, people, individuals excited about something,” said Noormohamed, 34. “There’s a lot to be excited about in North Van.”
